OverviewSoftware Engineer – Contract in Warwick. Up to £27.21 Umbrella/Paye. Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.About the companyI am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Warwick, who are seeking a Software Engineer to join their team.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesWorking with control boards to perform microcontroller software testingAnalyse system level requirements and decompose to software requirementsDesign software components in line with requirementsImplement software components using MATLAB/Simulink and/or C/C++ codeDevelop and execute software component unit test casesContribute to software validation activities using Model in Loop, Software in Loop and Hardware in Loop platformsContribute to software code reviewsDeliver verified and validated software according to project deliverables and timingAssist in process alignment and adherence to key internal and industry standard coding rules and practices to ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO 26262Contribute to software issue resolution (including out of process updates and rapid prototype containment of issues)Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential:Solid background in control system design and embedded software development for power electronic convertersExperience in developing AUTOSAR software using model-based designExperience using Embedded C, MATLAB / Simulink, CATIA NoMagic (or other model-based system engineering tool), Vector CANalyzer & CANoeExperience working with system / software requirements and requirement decompositionCapable of validating control code through use of software validation tools in MIL, SIL and HIL environmentsKnowledge of automotive electrical and communications systemsPossess a high level of attention to detail / accuracy, whilst delivering at paceTeam player, able to work together with multiple teams and departments to deliver effective solutionsDesirable:Automotive / Aerospace experience of delivering embedded controls software in a model-based environmentUnderstanding of functional safety and ISO 26262Experience in writing and maintaining software requirements using TRM (Dassault Systemes)Experience writing MISRA C compliant codeExperience with Infineon TriCore and DSP microcontrollersFamiliarity with automatic code generationUnderstanding of Agile software developmentKnowledge of ASPICE or equivalentHigher degree in computing, software, controls or relevant subjectWhy work through Contechs?Contechs is a leading Automotive, Design, Engineering, Technology and Innovation Recruitment Consultancy.
