Machine Learning Software Engineer | 3 Month Contract | £350 p/d PAYE | London

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the world’s largest social media brands who are seeking a Machine Learning Software Engineer to help develop next-generation autonomous LLM agents. These agents will be capable of performing coding, machine learning engineering, and research tasks entirely independently.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI, combining hands-on model training with robust backend systems and intuitive front-end interfaces to deliver powerful research tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LLM agents for coding, ML engineering, and research automation
• Build agent support systems including analytics tools, data annotation pipelines, and self-improvement mechanisms
• Innovate methods and infrastructure to advance large language model capabilities
• Work closely with researchers and engineers to translate research goals into deployable solutions
• Maintain high standards for data quality, security, and reproducibility
• 2+ years in machine learning, AI research, and recommendation systems
• Skilled in training and deploying ML models at scale, including LLM fine-tuning and optimisation
• Proficient in Python with hands-on PyTorch expertise
• Direct experience in generative AI and LLM research
• Master’s degree in Machine Learning or related field
• Experienced in managing human data annotation workflows for high-quality AI training datasets
• 3 Month Contract
• Location: London, UK (Hybrid/Onsite)
