JOB BAND: C CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent DEPARTMENT: BBC Product Group, Content & Content Metadata LOCATION: Salford - Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £43,000 - £57,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. We're happy to discuss flexible working. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

Building excellently engineered, highly available solutions using agile development practices. Contributing to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborating effectively to deliver the best value audience experience. Working in a DevOps model including solving operational issues and providing out-of-hours support. Sharing knowledge, learning new skills and adapting to change. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Expertise designing, building and supporting modern Cloud based applications using Typescript/JavaScript and NodeJS Expertise in Cloud architecture and key technologies (we use AWS extensively) Expertise in modern development tools and practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Pair Programming, TDD) Developing software with scale, security and performance in mind. DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: Experience developing systems using microservices architecture Experience developing systems using event driven architecture If you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we'd love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.
