Overview

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our multidisciplinary, cross-functional, lean delivery squads, focused on rapidly delivering value to our customers through our mobile app and website. This role requires experience across different technologies, a desire to keep growing skills, solving tough problems and mastering areas you already know. You’ll work alongside a mixed team of software engineers, senior software engineers, product managers and other colleagues to ensure we deliver the right thing in the right way. You are passionate about software craftsmanship and contribute to technical and non-technical discussions that shape digital product delivery, in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing engineering expertise as a member of a cross-functional delivery team, working with engineers, designers, QA, delivery lead and tech lead
• Employ modern development practices to ship high-quality software
• Adapt to new languages and frameworks
• Help choose the right technology for the job, striving for simplicity
• Provide support for digital products once live
• Pair programming with team members, including designers and QAs
• Own the delivery of user stories end-to-end within agile principles
• Break large deliverables into small, lean incremental user stories
• Actively contribute to agile ceremonies
• Collaborate with engineers across Just to advance practice across product squads

Your Experience

• Web/mobile development languages (Typescript, Tailwind and underlying HTML/CSS)
• Web/app development frameworks (Next.js (React), Expo (React Native))
• Backend development language (C#)
• Databases (Mongo)
• Effective source control management (Git)
• Test automation including Unit, Integration and end-to-end testing (TDD)
• Experience supporting a highly-available production system with issue diagnosis from logs and observability tooling
