We\'re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/React) to join Matillion\'s development team, working on our cloud platform, the DPC, and integrating with our AI product, Maia. You\'ll spend significant hands-on time building production services, delivering high-quality features, and contributing to the team\'s goals while learning and growing in a collaborative, agile environment. This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, UK, with minimum 2 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and release features for Matillion\'s cloud platform using Java (11+, ideally 17) and React, following best practices in code quality, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with your team to understand requirements, review code, and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
• Participate in research, prototyping, and exploring new technologies to drive innovation and improve development processes.
• Support and maintain production services, participating in monitoring, incident resolution, and on-call rotations as needed.
• Continuously develop your skills, contribute to knowledge sharing, and help improve team practices, processes, and workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong Java (11+, ideally 17) skills with a good understanding of OOP, programming concepts, and best practices.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployment, agile methodologies, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, tackle technical challenges, and contribute to cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity, motivation, and attention to detail, with a passion for data accuracy, integrity, and quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills, inquisitiveness, and a growth mindset, with the ability to balance the big picture while focusing on details.
