Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Support & Testing Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on providing technical support for our software solutions, troubleshooting client issues, and contributing to quality assurance through structured testing. The right candidate will work closely with our development teams, with opportunities to transition into a full development role based on performance and progression. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities · Provide first and second-line software support for internal teams and external clients. · Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL databases, .NET applications, React and Angular front-end interfaces, and both on-premises and Azure-hosted environments. · Collaborate with the development team to log, track, and resolve bugs in a timely manner. · Write and execute manual and automated test scripts to validate new features and ensure system stability. · Assist in the deployment process for updates and new releases across on-premises and Azure environments. · Document solutions, create support knowledge base articles, and share best practices with clients and colleagues. · Use tools like GitHub Copilot and other AI assistants to support code review, bug fixing, and testing efficiency. · Act as a liaison between clients, support, and development teams—ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues. 6Essential Skills & Experience · Strong foundation in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance troubleshooting). · Working knowledge of .NET (C#) frameworks and applications. · Exposure to React and Angular front-end frameworks. · Experience of supporting web applications in an on-premises environment · (ie Windows Server/IIS) · Understanding of Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, storage, deployments). · Familiarity with software testing methodologies (manual and automated). · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail. · Excellent communication skills—ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. · A team player with a proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills · Exposure to React and Angular front-end frameworks. · Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered coding tools. · Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). · Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, NUnit, Jest). · Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). · Prior experience in a customer-facing support role.
