Shape the future of the Internet. As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will build relationships, become a trusted advisor to our customers and deliver innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer.

Responsibilities

• Growing revenue and acquiring new business by evangelizing Akamai\'s technology to existing and prospective customers.
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demos and proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.

What You Will Need

• Experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer facing role delivering technical products or services.
• Knowledge in security and Internet technologies, including API security, content delivery and web architecture (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS).
• Fluency in cloud computing, including Kubernetes, storage solutions and developer tools.
• Interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer focused mindset.
• Thirst for learning and embracing new technologies.
• Good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment.
