NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater , Somerset . This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance , a joint venture to deliver the Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC installation for the project.
As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a Space Management Project Engineer to join us based in Bridgwater.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
Supporting the Site Wide Leads to deliver the scope
HOC / TAC tracker for management of space
Space needs forecasts IAW delivery programme demands
Layout plans and scope requirements for allocated space
Development of Method Statements
Review of construction documentation
Procurement ordering and tracking
Chair or support reviews
Weekly consolidated construction reports
Coordination of project photography and pictorial progress report
What we’re looking for :
A relevant degree or HNC/above in a relevant discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) and/or substantial experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on large scale construction projects.
AutoCAD and Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors (preferred).
Professional accreditation (preferred).
Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract (desirable).

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project:
We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
