Social network you want to login/join with:Job Title: Commercial Specification EngineerLocation: TelfordHours of Work: Monday-Friday (37.5 hours/week)Job Purpose:Reporting directly to the Design Manager, the role of Commercial Specification Engineer is to support the specification managers and our customers with a design service to ensure the correct products are being used and they comply where applicable with the building regulations.Key Accountabilities:Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.To prepare technical drawings and sketches in respect of the range of window systems productsTo produce manufacturing cutting sheets and drawingsTo conduct site surveysDeal with telephone enquiries relating to: energy ratings, window construction, procedures, costs, Building Regulations, British Standards, hardware, window performance, installation, structural elements and to facilitate the production of in-house design calculationsManage one-off conservatory design and calculations including screen design/construction, wind loading, load bearing elements and production of pictorial viewsDeliver external and internal technical seminars to a range of customers and stakeholders to demonstrate window systems. Subjects to include window design, conservatory design, Building Regulations, survey, installation and window energy ratingsAttend and support Technical Sales meetings with customers and stakeholders as necessaryKey Experiences and Skills Required:At least two years’ experience in working with fabrication and installationProficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, Excel and AutoCAD softwareDetailed knowledge of window systemsSite management experience including ability to conduct site surveysFull driving licensePerformance MeasuresEnquiry response timesFeedback from technical seminars/CPDsFeedback form customers via company surveyPersonal AttributesClean, neat and tidy approach to work.Punctual and adaptable.Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a larger team.Good polite manner.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Positive approach to the working environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
