We are actively seeking a Sr. Solution Engineer for our Pre-Sales organization. The role reports to the Director, Global Pre-Sales, EMEA. The Sr. Solution Engineer can be based anywhere in the U.K. or France and may work from a remote office.
Position summary
In this role, you will directly engage in sales opportunities, actively participate in customer meetings, and work closely with Senior Account Executives to respond to customers’ needs and challenges. The Sr. Solution Engineer serves as the primary conduit to internal Delivery and Strategic Services teams. You will leverage your knowledge of Rimini Street products and articulate the strategy and direction for all supported products.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Partner with Sr. Account Executives on sales opportunities globally
- Participate in customer meetings and respond to customer needs and challenges
- Work with Service Delivery and Product teams globally for pricing and delivery approvals
- Deliver effective Rimini Street Services and Support presentations (remote and in person) and address objections with audiences from Application Managers, Developers, DBAs to C-Level Executives
- Provide detailed scoping requirements for the support services to be delivered
Additional duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives in support of growth and profitability of the SAP product lines
- Some travel outside geography to support global initiatives
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to support deals in territory
Location

Education
- Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience
- 12 to 15 years’ experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering or Pre-Sales Solution Architect role within Applications/Technology/Database ecosystem, software and/or services, supporting a geographic or industry-focused sales organization
- Proven experience in a consultative selling environment with a history of working in a global, matrixed organization
- Experience implementing or supporting complex ERP applications globally
- Experience supporting a team of Sales Reps during the sales cycle and contributing to the sales process to close deals
- Experience with full lifecycle software implementations
- Experience with lift and shift of applications/technology products to public cloud
Required qualifications
- Mastery of software licensing rules for big ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) including matching service levels and repricing
- Detailed knowledge of technology, specifically Oracle Applications/SAP Applications/Oracle Database and related releases
- Working familiarity with a wide range of Applications and Technology products
- Understanding of software licensing issues and challenges
- Experience with application/database security and related industry standards
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and applications and databases in public cloud vs on-premise
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) in English
- Native French speaker (desirable)
- Ability to work independently based on prospect needs
- Strong speaking skills across telephone, onsite, conference or seminar
- Strong documentation skills (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com
- Experience with understanding and selling Managed Services
- Disciplined to perform in a work-from-home environment
