Job Description

Join a leading team within the Intellectual Property (IP) division, dedicated to providing international patent content and innovative online analytic tools. This role is part of a high-performing systems engineering team, focused on modernising infrastructure while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. It involves contributing to large multifunctional development activities, solving complex technical problems, and providing expert guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Kubernetes deployment and management, including orchestration, architecture, networking, CI/CD, storage, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Administer and support Databricks environments, covering permissions, storage, and networking.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues using observability tools and root-cause analysis.
  • Implement infrastructure management best practices and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Support program installations, system configurations, and user modifications.
  • Refine system monitoring and reporting in collaboration with support teams.
  • Operate across Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver timely solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Essential Skills

  • Deep knowledge of cloud services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Functions.
  • Experience in Cloud Engineering with a focus on Azure and/or AWS.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM/BICEP.
  • Skilled in containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, TypeScript, PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX/Windows systems and storage.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
  • Familiarity with SRE and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of networking and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Databricks is an added advantage.
