We are seeking highly skilled and motivated engineers to join our Productivity Engineering group. You will be part of a team based in Cambridge (UK), working closely with engineering teams across Arm’s worldwide engineering centres.
Job Overview
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join the Data Engineering Platform team. This team designs, builds, and operates products and solutions on top of our internal big data platform. The role combines software engineering excellence, strong architectural design, and an understanding of working with data engineering concepts. You will play a key role in growing our current product offering, driving new product development, and ensuring reliable, high-quality delivery to the hardware engineering community of Arm.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver software tools and data products for Arm engineering.
- Expand and support existing platform products, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Define and drive software architecture and technical direction for the data platform.
- Work closely with multi-functional teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
- Contribute to technical standards, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills And Experience
- A passion for software development/architecture and quality.
- Deep expertise in software development lifecycle and at least one programming language such as Java, Scala, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Desire to learn new skills and technologies, and work in a highly motivated team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
“Nice To Have”
- Technical leadership and partner management experience.
- Proficiency in web development with React and Node.
- Solid understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with knowledge of Kubernetes, and other DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD) and CI/CD (Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab).
- Experience in any domain of Hardware Engineering (Verification, Implementation, Performance/Power Analysis, etc.) will be highly beneficial.
