Static Site We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Engineer to join our clients team on a static site based in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician to work in a stable environment while carrying out a variety of maintenance, installation, and inspection tasks. Responsibilities include: Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including emergency light testing
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure safe operations
Installing, modifying, and commissioning new electrical systems and wiring in line with regulations
Conducting inspection, testing, and certification in compliance with statutory and company requirements
Maintaining accurate records of work completed, including test certificates and compliance documentation
Ensuring all electrical work complies with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and Health & Safety standards
Supporting site projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with the wider maintenance and engineering team to identify and deliver improvements
Taking part in the on-call rota and responding to emergency breakdowns as required
Skills and experience required: Time-served and fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred
Previous experience in electrical maintenance within industrial, commercial, or facilities environments
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
