Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with an international design consultancy who are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their busy established team in Birmingham city centre.

The strategically important Structural Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £45,000, a competitive company pension, flexible working and a market leading bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design work for heavy civil structures, including bridges, maritime, tunnels and nuclear.
• Assist senior members of staff with completing projects in a timely manner.
• Attend site visits and liaise with clients as needed.
• Complete assessment and inspection work of existing structures.

Professional qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience within structural design.
• Active progress toward Chartered status (ICE or IStructE).
• Experience in any of the following sectors: bridges, rail, maritime, tunnelling and/or nuclear.

Personal skills

• Motivated by progression and personal development.
• Keen to work on a wide variety of projects.
• Able to work within a team as well as independently.
