Structural/Port Engineer (Project) – Offshore Wind
Location: Mostly Remote - Occasional Site Visits
Day Rate: £700 - £800

Are you a civil, structural, or mechanical engineer with a passion for offshore wind and heavy infrastructure? We’re looking for a Port Engineer to help assess, design, and manage port infrastructure critical to the success of offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities
*
Assess port infrastructure for offshore wind marshalling and logistics
*
Identify port upgrade requirements (e.g. quay wall reinforcement, seabed strengthening, bearing capacity improvements)
*
Develop and review port logistics concepts and construction scopes
*
Support technical evaluations and tendering of marshalling ports
*
Liaise with contractors, developers, and project stakeholders on design and execution
What We’re Looking For
*
Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
*
Experience with port infrastructure, offshore wind logistics, or heavy-lift operations
*
Strong skills in structural design and analysis (e.g. quay walls, foundations)
*
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and structural analysis tools (e.g. STAAD, ROBOT, TEDDS)
*
Understanding of Eurocodes and marine/civil engineering standards
*
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and report writing skills

Offshore wind project involvement (construction, logistics, due diligence)
*
Seabed/geotechnical assessments for jack-up vessels
*
Tender review and contract input
*
Project management or technical advisor roles
