This role will be based at our Braintree office, subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working.As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Structural services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include:Perform site inspections and evaluate existing structures to determine the need for repairs or replacementsDesign new structures or modify existing ones, following relevant design codes and standardsPrepare comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reportsCollaborate with the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into wider projectsEngage in design reviews, project meetings, and visit construction sites as neededOffer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other duties as necessaryRequirementsExperienced in AutoCAD and RevitA relevant degree/apprenticeship and working experienceMust be willing to travel for site visits and client meetingsChartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartershipThis role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.Hours: Monday to Friday8:30am - 5:00pmBenefitsHoliday: 25 days (pro-rata'd) plus bank holidays.Additional benefits include: Healthcare plan, Employee Assistance Programme inclusive of Life Assurance, Pension Scheme and Total Rewards Package.We want you to grow with us, and Barker offers the opportunities needed to develop and succeed.
