Structural Project Engineer Trowbridge 3+ Years' Experience

Are you a Structural Engineer looking for the next step in your career? We're supporting a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy in Trowbridge as they look to bring a Structural Project Engineer on board. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with 3+ years' experience to take ownership of smaller projects, from inspection and analysis through to detailed structural design. You'll work across a range of buildings and infrastructure schemes, collaborating closely with contractors, architects, and fellow engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Independently deliver structural design and analysis for smaller-scale projects
  • Run and manage small projects from conception to completion
  • Prepare and check design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and supporting documents
  • Use industry software such as TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer to develop models and ensure accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and colleagues
  • Stay up to date with H&S procedures and contribute to a high standard of compliance
  • Present technical work clearly and confidently

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years' UK industry experience
  • Proficiency in TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar tools
  • A good understanding of UK design standards and project delivery processes
  • Someone actively working towards Chartership (CEng) via ICE or IStructE
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • A valid UK driving licence (desirable)
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK

  • Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday; Flexible and Hybrid working
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays (increasing with length of service)

  • Location: Office-based in Trowbridge, with occasional travel
