The Role of Supplier Development / Warranty Engineer
We’re looking for a hands-on Supplier Development / Warranty Engineer to join our growing quality team. You will take the lead with regards to management of all quality issues from the supplier base, in an interesting and varied role, which is also responsbile for processing and responding to warranty claims from the customer in line with their warranty process.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the quality function of the supplier base for Evtec
Support the ongoing development of the Evtec Business Management System, to continue progress of supplier development.
Monitor, review and respond to all supplier quality concerns ensuring that they are properly investigated and then working with suppliers to deliver effective resolutions to improve supplier quality and performance.
Carry out sub-supplier audits when necessary to support on new supplier nominations and to verify / close out any supplier quality concerns.
Work with purchasing team to ensure sub-suppliers meet all requirements, i.e. ISO9001, with TS16949 (or at least working towards it).
Understand and implement any other sub-supplier specific quality standards.
Management of all warranty with Evtec, access relevant portal to process and respond to claims within given time frames.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a quality role within automotive manufacturing
Confident communicator across all levels of the business
Ability to conduct supplier audits
Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
Knowledge of quality tools techniques
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
Driving licence and own transport (desirable)
