Responsible for direct material supplier Quality for a defined range of suppliers and parts. Educate suppliers in Edwards Quality processes and six sigma best practice tools and techniques. Part of a team of Supplier Quality Engineers to manage reject process, monitor and improve supplier quality. Identify and improve critical process capability to ensure long term quality stability.Drive continuous improvement in reject performance and cost of qualityAttend daily production meetings and crisis management, minimising disruption to operationsWorking alongside Inspectors, manage end to end reject process, including physical part management, system transaction and commercial cost recoveryDeploy six sigma tools to implement long term solutions, improve DPPM and sustain stable qualityQuality process championKnowledge in best practice tools and processes SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D etcConfidence and ability to deploy across supply base providing training and support as requiredIdentify and improve critical process capability at suppliers to ensure long term quality stabilityRoll out Edwards Quality policy and right from me mindsetSupplier assessment and auditManage supplier audit program and improvement plansParticipate in new supplier selection process (SESPA)Review/approve supplier process capability and MSASpecification and measurement gatekeeperEnsure drawings and specifications are accurate, measurable and achievableEnsure inspection and measurement processes are appropriate and aligned internal v supplierSupport procurement NPI and transition projectsWork with Category Management and Engineering to support supply chain transfers. Responsibility for part specification review, defining qualification requirements and part qualification to PPAP.Work with NPI teams and Engineering to ensure release of robust specifications/KCs identified on drawings.
