Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a leading Engineering company that specialise within the Automotive sector who are actively looking to take on a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their expanding team based in West Midlands. Monday - Friday 7:30 - 16:30 working hours 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Pension contribution Allocated parking space onsite Modern, clean and friendly working environment Quality Engineer Job Overview Shared responsibility for Customer Concerns Register and to ensure all supplier responses are received in a timely manner to allow 8D completion. Conduct supplier audits in line with the supplier audit schedule, both in the UK and abroad. Take ownership of the approved supplier list and ensure all certification and approval records are kept up to date. Responsibility for all supplier PPAP submissions, to review and ensure all content meets expectations. Development and implementation of a supplier rating system and responsibility for monitoring / issuing periodic reports. Implementation of supplier improvement plans where necessary. Support new supplier selection and development. Support Technical and Commercial teams with APQP tracking and NPI, ensuring key deadlines are met. Carry out internal audits of company's management systems (ISO9001 & ISO14001). Quality Engineer Job Requirements Be Lead Auditor trained, Ideally in IATF 16949. Have a strong Quality Engineering background. To hold a full UK driving licence & UK Passport. Have a good understanding of Automotive tools such as APQP, PPAP, Global 8D problem solving. To be able to understand and interpret Technical Drawings and Specifications. Be competent in the use of general inspection equipment. To understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
