Overview

We're looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier quality, focusing on handling non-conformances, supplier audits, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers to keep quality standards high across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier non-conformance issues from start to finish.
  • Act as the main contact between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement for quality concerns.
  • Conduct supplier audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Lead supplier improvement efforts and track progress.
  • Support First Article inspections and configuration audits at our sites and supplier locations.
  • Guide suppliers on PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Coordinate resolution of non-conforming materials with multiple teams.
  • Review incoming inspection data and adjust processes as needed.
  • Support ISO 9001:2015 audits and compliance.
  • Assist with customer and DCMA visits related to part quality.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly.
  • Evaluate and approve new suppliers, managing risk and compliance.
  • Help with supplier approval changes like location or process updates.
  • Follow and promote all health and safety policies.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Proficient with MS Office, ERP systems, and quality tools like Minitab.
  • Good knowledge of GD&T and use of metrology tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 supplier quality system.
  • Able to lead teams and communicate with different departments and suppliers.

Preferred:

  • Experience with electronic components, PCBAs, or batteries.
  • Background in defence, aerospace, or regulated industries.
