2nd Line Support Engineer

Location: on-site (5 days) Fareham

Salary: £30,000 + company bonus

NOTE: You must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).

We’re hiring a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a growing team - this is an ideal opportunity for someone with solid Windows support experience who’s eager to grow their career through hands-on work, project exposure, and access to continuous training.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver 2nd line support in a primarily ticketed environment for a major UK naval training site.
• Deploy software and images to workstations using SCCM.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-related incidents and technical issues.
• Support ongoing IT projects alongside the day-to-day service desk workload.
• Maintain documentation, support procedures, and security protocols.
• Liaise with internal teams and end-users to ensure a smooth and responsive support service.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

• Strong experience supporting Windows 10 operating systems.
• Working knowledge of:
• Windows Server (2016/2019)
• Active Directory & Group Policy
• SCCM (or similar deployment/imaging tools)
• VMWare or Hyper-V
• Exposure to Office 365, Teams, Outlook or Exchange is desirable but not essential.

You Should Also:

• Be SC cleared or eligible for SC clearance (UK-based for the last 5 years, with no major travel or gaps).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Be confident working independently and collaboratively in a structured ITIL-based support environment.
• Enjoy learning new tools and processes—Udemy and internal training resources are available to help you level up.
