System Engineer

We are seeking a System Engineer to join our Electrical Systems & Advanced Machine Control team. The project will focus on the design, integration, and lifecycle management of complex systems that underpin next-generation machine control technologies.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping systems architecture, ensuring requirements are fully defined, integrated, and validated across the full product lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical and electronic background who thrives at the intersection of disciplines.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Define, capture, and manage engineering requirements.
- Lead system design and integration across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
- Deliver verification and validation activities in alignment with the V-Model.
- Work with external suppliers and stakeholders where required to define specifications and integration requirements.
- Ensure designs adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline (BEng, MEng, or equivalent)
- 2–3 years of professional experience in systems engineering
- Strong foundation in mechanical and electronic engineering
- Proficiency with DOORS, MATLAB, and Simulink
- Familiarity with the V-Model systems lifecycle
- Previous experience in Aerospace, Defence, or other safety-critical industries is highly desirable
