Job Title: Systems Design Integration Engineer

About the Role
As a Systems Design Integration Engineer at Rolls-Royce Defence, you'll contribute to the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), supporting the development of the next-generation Tempest fighter jet. Based in Bristol with hybrid working, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex integration challenges across physical and functional systems.
Your responsibilities include extracting and defining technical requirements, developing innovative solutions, and shaping verification strategies throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Apply systems engineering principles to investigate and resolve complex problems.
- Define and interpret technical requirements, documentation, and verification strategies.
- Engineer and integrate complex electro, fluid, thermal, and mechanical systems.
- Develop innovative solutions using new technologies while managing risks in a regulated environment.
- Support validation, verification, and in-service product justification.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering background, supported by degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of design methodologies (e.g., V-model, Model-Based Systems Engineering) and cross-discipline concepts.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and apply logical, innovative thinking.
- Familiarity with product integrity, reliability, and certification frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
