Job description
The role offers hybrid working (3 days per week) and is on a secure site where SC clearance is needed. You will be part of a successful team developing innovative solutions for complex customer requirements, focusing on navigation sensors, and participating in multi-national research programmes. As a Systems Engineer, you will specify and assess navigation sensors including GNSS receivers, anti-jam units, and inertial measurement units. You will monitor supplier and technology roadmaps, support assessment trials, and undertake research activities within an international team.
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering, physics, or similar
- Knowledge in navigation systems, avionics, or RF engineering
- Project management and commercial awareness are highly desirable
- Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Simulink is advantageous
- Experience in Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environments is advantageous
What you'll be able to learn:
- GNSS functionality, multi-constellation technology, and system integration
- Receivers, anti-jam, and CRPA technology
- GNSS system performance and challenges
- GNSS jamming and spoofing
- Inertial sensor specification and characterization
