Our client BAE Systems, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract role. This opportunity is available within the Defence discipline and involves significant engagement with various aspects of systems engineering at their Broadoak site. The role is initially on-site for four days a week with potential for reduced on-site days after a few months. This contract will last for 12 months and includes hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing new capabilities and products within the Defence division
• Utilising Mimesis simulation software to enhance product development
• Engaging in the concept and requirements phase to determine project needs
• Collaborating with team members to expand the capabilities of the Defence business unit

Job Requirements:

• Experience with DOORS Next for requirements management
• Proficiency in MBSE using Cameo Magic
• Awareness of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or ADA
• Background in simulation, software engineering, or related systems engineering disciplines
• Understanding of whole lifecycle systems engineering
• Strong skills in requirements management and systems engineering principles

Security Requirements:

• Full Security Clearance (SC) before start
