An innovative and well-established organisation operating in the energy and infrastructure sector is seeking a Proposals Engineer to support its growing project portfolio. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored, competitive technical proposals-while influencing long-term business success.

About You
You bring a strong technical mindset, ideally grounded in mechanical or systems engineering, and enjoy working with both data and people. You're someone who sees opportunity in complexity and enjoys creating structure and clarity in high-value proposal work.
You’ll get to:
- Engage directly with customer-facing teams and suppliers on high-profile global projects
- Influence product selection and technical design elements
- Take ownership of proposals at various project stages-from initial concept to detailed submission
- Work with proposal tools and CRM systems to maintain high-quality bid information
- Join meetings that may involve travel abroad, building your experience with international business and clients
What You Might Bring (Our Wishlist)
Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box-we’re open to transferable experience and alternative backgrounds that demonstrate similar skills:
- Experience preparing technical proposals or bids for engineered systems or projects
- Understanding of rotating equipment, mechanical components, or process systems
- Strong communication skills-confident in presenting technical information clearly
- Familiarity with working in regulated or quality-assured environments (e.g. ISO9001)
- A methodical and commercially aware mindset, with good time management
- Working knowledge of risk management in technical contexts
- Proficiency in using proposal systems or CRM platforms
- Engineering qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree) are welcome but not required
- A willingness to travel internationally on occasion
- A full driving licence
