Technical Sales Engineer Required! Our client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing business supplying precision components to various industries. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to customer enquiries and generating accurate quotations, while implementing a structured, ERP-based system to streamline the process. The role also involves visiting and managing key customer relationships to drive growth, conducting market research to identify new opportunities, and working closely with internal teams to ensure transparency and operational efficiency. Package: Office based, with occasional travel to customers and shows / exhibitions Salary £38,000 and £45,000 (DOE) 40 hours per week, core hours between 08:30am and 17:00pm 24 days paid holidays, plus bank holidays Technical Sales Engineer - Responsibilities: Generate, process, and manage all customer enquiries and quotations. Review and interpret engineering drawings (Autodesk) and use hand measuring tools on customer sites to accurately measure existing components. Lead the development and implementation of quotation automation. Provide input into ERP design and take ownership of its daily use once implemented. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and reporting within the CRM system. Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, including regular visits to customer sites. Coordinate and support sales agents, setting weekly and monthly targets. Report on sales pipeline, quotation turnaround times, and revenue opportunities Technical Sales Engineer - Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical sales, sales engineer, or estimating role within an engineering environment Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a focus on process improvement and data management. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP and CRM systems (implementation experience is a plus). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Autodesk) and accurately measure components on-site. Knowledge of precision engineering machining techniques and technologies. Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to customer sites.
