Technical Sales Engineer/Account Manager - Water Industry at TieTalent. Location: UK (North, Midlands, South). Employment Type: Full-Time. Remote working 50/50 home-based plus travel to client sites. Department: Sales / Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within municipal, industrial, and commercial wastewater markets; build and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, utilities, and end-users; prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Technical Support: Understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions using our product and service offerings; provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including site assessments, system sizing, and troubleshooting; assist with tender submissions and bid documentation.
- Project Management: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution; oversee the technical delivery of wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes; provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on customer and market insights.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical sales, preferably in the wastewater treatment or water technology sector (desired but not essential).
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes (e.g., MBR, SBR, DAF, anaerobic digestion, etc.).
- Ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, trade shows, and technical conferences.
- UK Drivers Licence
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Experience working with public utilities and industrial clients.
- CAD, CRM systems, and proposal-writing skills are a plus.
