Technical Support Engineer (SC Cleared)

£350 - £400 / day | Fully Remote | Outside IR35

This is a fully remote contract working on a secure environment project, so active Security Clearance is a must. You’ll be part of a small, specialist team focused on modern workplace support, vulnerability remediation, and application packaging. You’ll be supporting a critical end customer and helping keep their estate locked down and compliant.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning the vulnerability management lifecycle: acting on scan data, applying remediations, and documenting the lot
• Administering monthly patch cycles across corporate devices (Intune) and server infrastructure (SCCM)
• Managing third-party patching using Patch My PC to keep environments secure
• Providing Tier 2 escalation support on Microsoft Modern Workplace issues, from devices to applications
• Supporting application packaging and deployment using PowerShell, .msi, .exe, and .intunewin formats
• Coordinating UAT with business users before rollout
• Managing a mixed estate of Windows, iOS, and Android devices using Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and Android Enterprise
• Participating in problem management, getting to the root cause and making sure it doesn’t happen again
• Collaborating with the wider team (on-site engineers, SMEs, and client support) to hit SLAs and drive secure, stable environments

What you’ll need:

• Active Security Clearance (SC) - essential
• Proven experience supporting enterprise environments with a focus on security and compliance
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Patch My PC, and PowerShell
• Hands-on experience in patch management, vulnerability remediation, and application packaging
• Confident with escalated EUC support across the Microsoft Modern Workplace stack
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote role, while staying collaborative and aligned

To be considered for this role, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be currently security cleared to SC cleared level.
