Technical Support Engineer – East Tilbury - £30,000 – Great Opportunity!

Location: East Tilbury
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Are you a driven and experienced Technical Support Engineer with a background in Managed Service Providers? Do you enjoy variety, from remote troubleshooting to hands-on installations and fieldwork? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for a confident and skilled IT professional to join our growing technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies and clients, with plenty of scope for career growth and technical development.

Essential Experience:

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical support role within an MSP environment
  • Field/onsite experience – comfortable with installing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting hardware/software
  • A full UK driving licence – this role includes client site visits

Technical Experience:

We’re looking for someone confident across a broad range of tech, including:

  • Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) administration
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Microsoft 365 configuration and support
  • SharePoint migrations and adoption
  • SQL Server administration and troubleshooting
  • Windows 10 / 11 support and migrations
  • Antivirus (preferably BitDefender)
  • Strong networking skills – Switch config, VLAN, VPN, RADIUS (UniFi preferred)
  • IT system and equipment installations (with safe cable management and equipment handling)
  • Experience with PSA, RMM & Documentation tools – ideally Autotask, Datto RMM, IT Glue

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve technical support issues both remotely and onsite
  • Conduct onsite installations, diagnostics, and fixes where required
  • Perform daily infrastructure checks, backup reviews, and proactive monitoring
  • Handle support tickets and incidents in line with SLAs
  • Participate in IT projects and infrastructure deployments
  • Support junior team members as part of the escalation process
  • Carry out regular system maintenance and updates
  • Engage in client site visits and field-based project work when needed
