Southampton, UK Job Description We are hiring a Service Delivery Engineer for a short-term engagement with one of our leading clients in the energy technology and industrial services sector. This role involves supporting chemical treatment systems in a dynamic process environment, ensuring reliable operations, safety compliance, and technical performance. The successful candidate will have experience in field operations, chemical handling, and process optimisation, ideally within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial settings. Responsibilities Support the deployment, monitoring, and performance evaluation of chemical injection and treatment systems. Perform routine sampling and analysis of process fluids (e.g., water, oil) to assess treatment effectiveness. Monitor chemical consumption, adjust injection rates, and maintain inventory control. Investigate and resolve system issues through field-based troubleshooting and coordination with site personnel. Assist in preparing technical reports, performance logs, and recommendations for system improvements. Ensure compliance with site safety standards and participate in all relevant permit-to-work and operational protocols. Requirements Technical qualification (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent experience) in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering. Hands-on experience with chemical injection systems, sampling, and process support operations. Familiarity with field-based work in industrial settings such as refineries, terminals, or treatment plants. Strong awareness of HSE standards, and experience working within safety-critical environments. Basic understanding of chemical dosing, water treatment, and system optimisation. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication. Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to travel to the Southampton site as required.
