Our Client based in Rochester is seeking a Test EngineerJob role: Test EngineerJob Types: Full-time, Permanent – onsite no hybrid workingHours: 39 hours per week – flexible between 6am and 6pm, Monday to FridayOvertime: available when required, paid at time and a half in the week and on SaturdaySalary: Salary based on ability and experience / disclosed on application26 days pa, + BH, rises with serviceCompany pension contribution up to 10% by the employerAve 6% annual bonus – company profit related bonusOn-site parkingUniformExcellent working conditionsAs part of a team, theTest Engineerwill be responsible for mechanical and electrical testing of completed projects.Test Engineer- Duties and ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of mechanical and electrical testing of electrical panels (metering solutions) including insulation resistance, secondary injections, configuration of various devices etc.Full ownership of test area; Providing input to test schedule.Testing documentation and protocols.Coordination of all testing phases; Performing witness acceptance tests.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testing objectives are met to budget and on time.Identify and lead testing risk and put control in place to mitigate.Run EHS (Environment, health and safety) in connection with testing of projects.Support and assist the management team to supervise the progress of works and ensure that the testing targets are met and effect remedial action where required.Make sure technical standards are maintained in all aspects of testing work in order that safe and successful project implementation.Occasional support with commissioning works at customers premises.Test Engineer - Skills and AttributesElectrical engineering or systems engineering technical background required.Experience working in similar role/environment advantageous.Excellent problem-solving ability and an engineering curiosity attitude.Knowledge of power industry, high voltage transmission and distribution networks.Knowledge of precision high accuracy metering advantageous (CoP1, CoP2).Ability to interpret and use project documentation including electrical schematics.Experience in SCADA, control systems and communication protocols advantageous.Experience in programming of switches & routers, integration and interface with other communications systems advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
