Test Engineer (Contract) Location: Surrey Contract Type: Up to £48ph Inside IR35 Contract Length: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP Role Overview Carry out IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies. Test hardware, software, and firmware, capturing and reporting results. Operate a broad range of equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, etc.). Fault-find and repair down to component level. Provide clear feedback, document discrepancies, and maintain compliance records. Support safe, organised, and efficient assembly/test areas. Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver on high-profile project deadlines. Key Requirements 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or electronics test environment. Defence sector background (highly desirable). IPC inspection certification. Strong analogue and digital fault-finding/repair skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and test specifications.
