Overview

The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. It has over 51,000 members and supports improving patient care, developing skills and promoting general practice. The role involves supporting the Test Manager to ensure quality across IT projects at the RCGP, including planning, executing tests, and running automation tests on the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have IT testing experience and experience with agile and software lifecycle development projects.

Base pay range

Full time, 35 hours per week

Permanent

Grade EL, Salary £40,375.40 per annum

Location: London (hybrid working—minimum 2 days per week in the office)

The RCGP is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. It is actively undergoing change and seeks a Test Engineer to work on multiple projects (including a new CRM project) and ongoing development within the Digital Transformation strategy. The Test Engineer’s prime responsibility is to support the Test Manager in maintaining quality across IT projects, including planning, test execution and automation testing across the Salesforce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and user stories, providing feedback where necessary
• Develop test scripts, cases and scenarios to determine optimal system performance according to specifications
• Create and manage automation scripts for regression packs
• Implement all types of application testing as needed including system and system integration testing
• Track issues and defects to ensure resolution

Qualifications

• ISTQB/ISEB certified in Software Testing (Essential)
