We focus on providing efficient, reliable, and flexible SaaS solutions for data processing and analysis in the energy sector. Together, we're driving digital transformation, maximising ROI for clients, and contributing to achieving net-zero emissions through technology and data-driven insights.
Your Role
As a Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our data platform meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. Our SaaS platform empowers energy retailers with data processing at scale, from pricing and forecasting to complex analytics. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to build confidence in our product by embedding testing early in the development cycle and ensuring smooth, reliable releases.
You’ll be the advocate for quality and the critical link between feature development, user feedback, and product delivery.
What You'll Do
You will take ownership of the quality assurance process across our product and platform teams. This includes defining test strategies, building and maintaining automated tests, and performing manual and exploratory testing to identify and address issues early. Your work will ensure that we release stable and high-quality software that delivers value to our users, fast and reliably.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers, and act as a quality ambassador within the team, continuously improving how we test, release, and learn.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Define the testing scope and plan, and execute test cases across features and sprints.
- Report on test coverage and product stability for each sprint/release to support go/no-go decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, review acceptance criteria, and provide feedback early in the process.
- Identify and communicate risks that could impact product quality.
- Act as a bridge between the product, support, and internal user teams by collecting feedback, troubleshooting bugs, and performing root cause analysis.
- Automate acceptance tests using our existing test frameworks.
- Conduct exploratory testing, and run regression and performance tests (automated where possible).
- Promote good QA practices and foster a quality-first mindset within development teams.
- Document issues clearly with reproducible steps and supporting artifacts (logs, screenshots, etc.).
- Perform peer reviews on both manual and automated test cases.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Tester in an Agile development environment.
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including test planning, design, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of web-based applications and testing web service APIs.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright (+), Cypress, Selenium, WebDriverIO, Appium, or JMeter.
- A methodical and curious mindset, with a strong eye for detail.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying current with QA best practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English.
- Openness to give and receive feedback regularly.
This role is currently an Office -Mix Hybrid role. This means you would chat with your leader and team for the number of day you need to be together to collaborate and achieve outcomes in close proximity. This is often 1 - 2 days a week. The other days you have flexibility.
What's In It For You
- Flexible work options - We offer country-specific mobility benefits, and the ability to work flexible hours. You will be equipped with the best technology for remote work.
- A job with purpose At Gorilla, we’re not just watching the world change—we’re making it happen! We provide cutting-edge data services to energy retailers, helping them tackle climate change while keeping the lights on; we’re here to make a big impact and have some fun along the way.
