Do you have commercial experience of working within electrical testing, inspection, assembly, service engineering or on-site technical support? If so, then this could well be the role that you are looking for You will be joining a leading manufacturer of niche instrumentation for specialist applications as Test, Support & Commissioning Engineer and be part of their close-knit team, based from their head office in East Grinstead, West Sussex. You will be expected to travel internationally 25-50% of the time and duties will include final test of instruments after production including both electrical and mechanical inspection, test and overall performance of the instruments and software; prepare instruments for safe transportation; ensure all spare parts are functional; oversee calibrated instruments test processes and documentation; performing on-site installation, training and customer demonstrations on delivered instruments and providing both telephone and email technical support to customers. You will be qualified to ONC, HNC or Degree standard in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Science and have at least 2 years commercial experience of working within an electrical testing, inspection, assembly, service engineering or technical support capacity and have a good all-round understanding of electrical / electronic systems, instrumentation, temperature control and wiring. Candidates who can demonstrate previous experience of calibrating, testing and servicing laboratory equipment, instruments or complex machinery would be beneficial, though not essential. All candidates will receive 3-6 months product training, must possess a full UK diving licence as well as a current passport and be willing to travel when overseas required.
