Our Formula E client has an opportunity for a Tyre Performance Engineer to join their team within a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the Role
Create, maintain and develop a variety of empirical, thermal and physical tyre models for use in offline and DIL simulations. Develop analytical methods to interpret real tyre data and use this to predict conditions and procedures for optimum tyre performance. Evaluate and optimise tyre utilisation during track tests and race events to ensure maximum overall performance of cars during qualifying and races. This is primarily a factory-based role, however weekend event support in the remote Ops room will be required along with some travel to specific events or tests. Formulation of the pre-event tyre report with recommendations for tyre preparation and usage during race/test events. Contribute towards tyre group post-event reports with appropriate analysis and comment. Contribute towards wider Performance group activities across Race Engineering, Strategy, Controls & Vehicle ScienceAbout you
