Vibration Test Engineer
to support a major space programme within a leading defence and space organisation. This is a hands-on, lab-based role ideal for someone with experience
translating test procedures into practical machining and setup operations in a commercial test lab setting. Key Responsibilities: Perform
vibration and shock tests
on space and commercial hardware using
electromagnetic vibration systems and mechanical shock rigs. Execute a
full range of sine, random, and classical shock test types. Translate test procedures and technical specifications into practical test setups. Complete detailed test logs and ensure accurate recording of all measurement data. Post-process
test data and prepare technical reports . Review
test procedures
and provide constructive technical feedback. Ensure all testing is performed safely and in compliance with national and international standards. Manage calibration and maintenance of test equipment and associated facilities. Assist with cost estimation, quotations, and scheduling for customer projects. Participate in
developing and improving the test facility
to enhance efficiency and capability. Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience: Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years experience performing
vibration testing in a laboratory environment . Strong understanding of
vibration and shock testing methodologies. Experience working directly with customers and presenting technical information confidently. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts. Methodical and accurate approach to test execution and documentation Additional Information
