Workshop Engineer Job Overview
Carry out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a fleet of heavy plant. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults efficiently. Complete all workshop-based engineering tasks to meet safety, quality, and time standards. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using electronic systems. Liaise with operations teams to schedule repairs and minimise downtime. Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation and internal policies.
Workshop Engineer Job Requirements
Proven experience working as a workshop or plant engineer within construction, hire, or industrial settings. Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with health & safety practices in workshop and site environments. A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Workshop Engineer Salary & Benefits
