Overview

A well known council based in London is seeking to recruit X3 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineers to start asap for initial 3 month contracts at £200/day, 5 days fully on site in London, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and installing laptops, ensuring inventory is tracked and old devices are retrieved
  • Installing operating systems and business applications, configuring VPN (F5), OneDrive sync, mapped drives, and user shortcuts
  • Ensuring systems function correctly and resolving issues during deployment
  • Preparing rooms, guiding users, and managing session logistics
  • Providing real-time assistance and answering user queries during setup
  • Maintaining detailed records of deployment activities and issue resolution
  • Handling complex technical issues beyond 1st/2nd line capabilities
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to meet project requirements, including accessibility and specialist applications
  • Working closely with PMs, support officers, and other engineers
  • Engaging with council leads, vendors, and service desk teams

Requirements

  • Experience of supporting Windows 11 laptops
  • Excellent customer facing skills and presentation skills for deployment sessions
  • Ability to work well under high-profile project conditions
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to 5 days on site
