Overview 2nd Line Support Engineer | Stratford-Upon-Avon | £32,000 Oscar Technology has partnered with a leading MSP near Stratford-Upon-Avon to recruit for a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities
Monitoring and dealing with issues raised in the logging system and via phone. Providing 2nd line IT support for incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction. Perform routine maintenance and updates to application operating systems and anti-virus software. Ensure IT policies, procedures and security standards are considered and abided by. Assist with data retrieval and backup management, on-site or cloud-based. Establish and maintain technical documentation, including technical diagrams and knowledge articles.
Essential Skills
Extensive knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and software applications. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN. Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Microsoft 365. Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management. Familiarity with server administration tasks such as user management, file shares and security. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
