About us

We are a team of 16 engineers responsible for the Wing, Fuel System, and Landing Gear of the A320 family. We work to develop the A320 family while supporting a global fleet of over 10,000 aircraft, collaborating with teams across Airbus to provide wide-ranging experience.

What you will be doing

As an intern in the UK Single Aisle Chief Engineers Team you will:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of aircraft development and decision making in the aerospace industry
  • Have flexibility and autonomy on tasks across disciplines with support from the Fuel Systems, Wing Structure and Landing Gear Chief Engineering teams
  • Work on multiple projects with high variability, showing a quick learning curve and active involvement from day 1

We are a highly experienced team eager to share knowledge and enthusiasm for aerospace.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Requirements

  • Undergraduates only (must be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement). Please inform your graduation date on your application.
  • CV and Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role

Essential

  • Studying towards a degree with a numerate emphasis
  • Competent user of Google Office
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Interest in aircraft and eagerness to learn
  • Provide general support to project teams in line with company values
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently to meet team objectives
  • Problem solving mentality

Useful

  • Willing to travel between UK and European sites if required
  • Additional languages
  • Student membership of a relevant Institution (e.g., RAeS, IMechE, IEEE, IOM3 or similar)
