Key Responsibilities
*
Assist in the setting out and survey control for major highways works, including earthworks, drainage, pavement construction, and structures.
*
Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure on-site works align with design requirements.
*
Support the management of quality control procedures, ensuring works comply with project tolerances, standards, and specifications.
*
Coordinate with subcontractors, design teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
*
Conduct as-built surveys, maintain accurate site records, and contribute to progress reporting.
*
Support the Site Agent / Section Engineer in managing HSEQ standards across the project.
*
Assist with method statements, risk assessments, and temporary works coordination.
*
Help ensure environmental compliance in sensitive areas, in line with project targets and mitigation plans.
Essential Requirements
*
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
*
Minimum 2+ years of on-site experience in civil engineering (preferably highways, earthworks, drainage or structures).
*
Proficient in setting out using GPS, total station, and levelling equipment.
*
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
