Our OEM Client based in Solihull, is searching for an Acoustic Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines. Be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, acting as a voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment. The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.). Perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas. This role will liaise closely with core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products. Flexibility to work across various sites (Gaydon / Coventry / Solihull / Halewood) is required. Skills Required:
Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role. Experience applying engineering problem solving methodologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues.
