ADA Embedded Software Engineer – Defence Sector | Hybrid (4-5 days onsite)
We’re working with a leading defence organisation on an exciting opportunity for an experienced ADA Embedded Software Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design and development of next-generation missile control systems .
This is a fantastic chance to work on real-world projects where your code directly contributes to safeguarding nations. This isn’t just any engineering role - this is rocket science !
As an ADA Embedded Software Engineer , you’ll be: Developing real-time embedded software in ADA (and C/C++) across the full development lifecycle. Working in a multi-disciplinary team (Systems, Electronics, Safety, Security, and Quality). Involved in requirements capture, architecture, detailed design, implementation, testing, and delivery. Taking ownership of your work while collaborating closely with Software Design Authorities and Project Leads.
ADA Embedded Software Engineer Background: Strong experience in embedded software development for real-time systems . Hands-on knowledge of ADA , plus exposure to C/C++ . Experience with model-based development (UML / IBM Rhapsody) . A “can-do” problem-solving mindset with a focus on code quality and collaboration. Ability to engage in code/design reviews and write maintainable, extensible code .

Location & Security Hybrid role – 4-5 days per week onsite (due to project classification). Applicants must be British Citizens or Dual UK nationals with British Citizenship . All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks .
