This position will accelerate the technical and commercial traction of our core technologies and products. As an Additive Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, designing 3D printable technical product designs, and maintaining process documents within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:Create efficient STL 3D print filesDevelop 3D printing processes that are manufacturing readyCreate new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologiesTest newly created productsTest raw materialsDocument processing conditions. test results, and other critical-to-quality dataDevelop best practice SOP's, WI's, etc. for AM processesGenerate optimized build files to produce high quality parts in minimum time with maximum consistencyMonitor builds on a varying scheduleAssist in Quality System auditsResearch new 3D printable materials and leverage those materials into new technical productsQUALIFICATIONS:SKILLS YOU BRING TO THIS ROLEWorking knowledge of all 3D Printing processes (existing and emerging)3D Slicing ExpertiseWorking knowledge of materials testing equipmentEagerness to learn and explore advanced 3D composites, textile processes, and other AM processesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective team player, with strong critical-thinking skillsWorking knowledge of Solidworks, Rhino, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to create and read 3D Modeling, and convert to 3D Print filesWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFULBachelor's of Science Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant materials science discipline2 years of prior relevant experience is requiredWHAT WE OFFER YOU IN RETURNYou'll be off every Friday with our 4x10 work schedule80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)120 hours Vacation time12-13 paid holidays per year6 weeks parental leaveTuition reimbursementCompetitive salaryComprehensive health insuranceAccess to Employee Resource GroupsAnd so much moreIt’s Time To Make Your Mark On The Future Of Aviation.
