This role typically reports to the Adoptions Manager/Technical Director.The purpose of the role is to support the Engineering team to provide a practical and cost effective adoption engineering service for the regional business. This role involves close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants.The Role Will IncludeProducing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain buildingLiaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively maintain the companies interest at all timesEnsure the processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements are in time and accurate to maintain the regions level of compliance and responsibilityManaging the transfer of open spaces, play areas etc to Management Companies is swift and accurate and in line with company policy to enhance and build partnered relationshipsEnsuring the co-ordination and management of ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover is dealt with professionally and to the highest standards whilst protecting the business interestsOn occasion to deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer to provide support and assistance to the teamWhat we need from you?Ideally HNC/HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related QualificationPrevious experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways or Drainage AuthorityCompetent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel packagesDemonstrate good communication skillsAn eye for detail and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being a committed team playerWhat's in it for you?Salary and benefits packageCompetitive Salary (DOE)Company Car/Car AllowancePensionLife AssuranceBonusHealth CareWhen you join us, the future is yours to explore.
