OverviewAdvanced Electrical Engineer role at Vertical Aerospace. The VX4 is a fully electric, zero-emissions eVTOL aircraft. We aim to bring the VX4 into service by 2030 and scale from prototype to commercial enterprise.Our mission is to reshape aerospace practices to accelerate the transition to sustainable air travel. We value ingenuity, pace, safety, collaboration, and openness in how we work.What You’ll DoDesign, integrate and test the low-voltage electrical distribution system for the VX4.Work closely with multiple system teams to develop solutions to complex installation problems.Design and deliver robust, maintainable installation solutions for aviation products.Manage engineering requirements and communicate technical information effectively across disciplines.Apply a strong understanding of electrical systems in aviation or related high-integrity industries (e.g., automotive, rail, energy).What You’ll BringA bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant industry experience.Experience with systems engineering methodologies (requirements capture, validation, verification).Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems (architecture, functions, performance).Experience with supplier management and systems integration in complex engineering environments.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design tools (preferably CATIA).Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in aerospace or high-integrity sectors (e.g., automotive, rail, energy).Collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving abilities with cross-functional teamwork.DesirableFamiliarity with aerospace certification standards (e.g. ARP4754A, DO-160, DO-178C, DO-254).What to Expect from UsWe offer a challenging, fast-paced environment with a flexible, supportive culture and an incredible team.
