Looking for a Software Developer role where you can combine your Laravel, Python, and AI to build genuinely intelligent systems? The role is based on site in Ipswich.
They’re expanding their development team and looking for a talented Full Stack Developer who loves bringing ideas to life with clean, modern code, and isn’t afraid to dive into AI-powered problem solving.
What you’ll be working on
* Building and enhancing web applications, APIs, and backend systems using Laravel (PHP 8) and MySQL
* Developing Python microservices to power intelligent automation and agent-based workflows
* Embedding AI and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into real-world systems, not just prompt/response, but multi-step logic and decision-making
* Working with tools like LangChain, CrewAI, and LlamaIndex to develop internal AI agents
* Designing secure, scalable systems that handle complex financial and operational data
* Collaborating with an experienced in-house AI Engineer and the wider tech team
What we’re looking for
* Solid commercial experience with Laravel, PHP 8, and MySQL
* Strong Python skills (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
* Hands-on experience integrating AI or LLM-based workflows into applications
* Confidence working across PHP + Python boundaries
* Understanding of web security, API integrations, and cloud-based architecture
* Excited by automation, innovation, and building smarter systems that make a difference
Nice to have
* Experience with Vue.js, Laravel Livewire, or AWS
* Background in fintech, data automation, or business intelligence
* Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) or RAG pipelines
